For those who are overweight.

Do you feel some sort of emptiness inside of you? A huge hollow that just won't go away? Do you try to scare it away? Or have you gotten so tired of it that you want to forget it exists? Shove it away, pretend its not there?

Oh, but it is, lurking on every corner, at the back of your head every now and again reminding you of its existence, almost like a lonely cat bothering you for attention even though giving it attention is the last thing you'd want to do!

Or maybe you managed to consciously forget about it, and completely suppress the angst it may cause. But if you look deeply enough, its parading around your subconscious like a never ending carnival, or just sneakily sprawling like a snake in a very quiet jungle aiming for an innocent little mouse that's innocently wandering around.

Well, if you want to loose weight, you cant ignore the emptiness. Ultimately, you have to get rid of it completely. But I know its tough. Seriously tough. So my tip for you is to distract that evil thing.

Yep, completely distract it from its main appeaser: food. You have to find something you really like doing. Channel all the strength of emotion within you towards something you enjoy doing. Dont let food be your main comfort zone! Look up ideas, get your hands dirty, but do something that makes your eyes shine with joy. The feeling of mission accomplished, of finding your purpose in life, is indescribable!

What is it that sparks the flame of interest in you? Are there things in your society you could be part of? Any volunteer work that you'd enjoy doing? Or perhaps you like writing or drawing? It could be anything really. Everyone has things they're interested in. And just sitting there and eating wont help you get anywhere. Sulking about the bad things that might have happened to you in the past wont get you anywhere either!

Come on, it cant be that hard to think of something you could occupy your time with... There are tons of ideas on the Internet, that's for sure. If you're funny you could start a channel in Youtube. Also if you can sing, or play an instrument. Or if you have a super cute pet.

Anyway, its all about changing your focus. Put food in 2nd, 3rd, 4rth place. Well, you still have to eat in order to survive, and the healthier food you get, the better, we all know that, but its mostly for survival, not to fill in the voids inside of you!

Hope this helps,
Livia.
